My dear Henry
I am glad Rufus
King is with you — if it is ‘our
Rufus’ as I suppose – he is
one for whom I have a
penchant — I am just
recovering from my weekly
attack of neuralgia which
occupies about 2 days —
Fred left me this morning —
he read for me Sumners
speech which is very good,
excellent, though the torrent
of applause which yours elicited
at present overwhelms every
thing else, here — I will
