- Biographical Information
- Moved to Auburn in 1836 with his parents. Read law with Hon. John Porter and together they ran a law business until 1848. One of the main organizers of the Oswego Starch Factory in 1848 and served as its treasurer and secretary for 50 years. Also also served on the board of directors of Auburn Water Works Company for 40 years and was the Director of the Cayuga County National Bank for some time. Actively involved in Auburn and had a good reputation in the town. Brother of Nelson Beardsley and William C. Beardsley.
