Biographical Information
Don Manuel Carvallo was born in Chile. In 1834 he marries Mary Elizabeth nee Causten. In 1846 he was appointed Minister Plenipotentiary of the Chile Government to the United States, and he and his family sailed to Washington, where they resided until at least 1851, as he accepts Frances dinner invitation on February 2, 1851. He later served in Chile as a Supreme Court Judge, and Senator of the Republic. From 1860-1867 he served as the Chilean Minister to Belgium.
