- She was the daughter of Anner Schooley and William Schooley which makes her the first cousin of FMS and LMW. In 1844, FMS wrote to LMW that Aunt Schooley was living in Romulus with Adeline and her husband Gurnee. FMS pitied Aunt Schooley who was "discontented" because she as made to feel dependent upon Gurnee and Adeline. After her husband, Lucien dies in 1863 she marries Henry Markell and they move to Ypsilanti, MI.
