Biographical Information
Village president of Auburn 1836-37, NY state legislature for Cayuga Co. 1838 (http://politicalgraveyard.com/bio/miller4.html) 18310822FMS_WHS1 (rew) He also seems to appear in the 1830s letters quite a bit. He is often mentioned with a "Mrs M. Miller" and "Martha." For example, "Mrs Miller is in deep trouble about Isaac's going to the Legislation this winter. Martha seems rather pleased. Jane says Maria would not be willing to have Martha to feel as bad as she does." (From 18371201FMS_LMW1v1).Martha is his wife, perhaps "Mrs Miller" is his mother, while "Mrs M. Miller" refers to Martha. In 1841, a Mr. George Miller (perhaps their son) began a venture in Detroit, Michigan farming tobacco. Their son passed in 1844, and in 1846 Isaac S. Miller took over the business. See 1850 census in Detroit Michigan - lists Isaac S. Miller and Martha H. Miller.
