Biographical Information

Patience "Marcia" Armstrong was born on July 23, 1794, to Patience Rowley and Francis Armstrong in Florida, New York. Marcia married Benjamin Jennings Seward, the son of Mary Jennings and Samuel S. Seward, on May 17, 1819. Together they had four children: Augustus, Aurelia, Benjamin Jennings Jr., and Clarence Seward. Marcia died on October 25, 1839, at the age of 45 in Westfield, New York.
