Robert G. was a son of Locky and Pollydore. He died very young. All sources found list his birth as February, 1835. This year given for his birth cannot be accurate since 18350305RAS_FMS1 reads: "Our little Robert G is a verry fat sweet child, walked when 11en months old, begins to talk..." If Robert G. was born in Feb. 1835, he would be one month old. Babies don't talk when they're one month old. There is also no possibility the letter is misdated. If, however, Robert G. was born in Feb. 1834, he would be 1 year 1 month. This birth estimation is in line with what Locky says about him, that he "walked when 11en months old," and now "begins to talk."
