- Biographical Information
- Margaret B. Smith is the mother of Caroline Day (nee Smith) of Auburn. The Seward family was well acquainted with the Days, who lived in Auburn. Margaret Smith also lived in Auburn, and Caroline was the executor of her will, which is how her status as a daughter of Margaret was determined. This Margaret Smith is not related to "Parson Smith," who married Frances Miller Seward and William Henry Seward. Margaret B. Smith also had a daughter, Caroline (nee Smith) Day, and a son, Henry C. Smith.
