William Henry Seward Papers Finding Aid
Department of Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation

The William Henry Seward finding aid provides detailed information about the contents of the Seward collection, which includes more than 100,000 items spanning nearly 200 years. The William Henry Seward papers addition has everything Seward-related that came to the Department of Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation (RBSCP) after the initial donation. Please contact rarebks@library.rochester.edu with questions.

Student and Project Designed Finding Aids

Students enrolled in the Seward classes and project team members have composed finding aids to detail the organization of the larger Seward Papers collection. The finding aids are detailed descriptions of the Chesebro, Grier and Miller collections in RBSCP in the University of Rochester River Campus Libraries. These finding aids will also be useful to researchers interested in exploring the extended Seward family and friends network.
