Susan Weightman (nee Coxe) was the daughter of Richard S and Susan Coxe. In 1842, she married Richard Hanson Weightman, a soldier, paymaster, and from 1850-1853 a member of the House of Representatives. Susan lived with her children and parents in Washington. DC, for some time in the 1850s. Her daughter, Louisa, became a friend of Fanny Seward's. Her husband died in 1861, during the Civil War. Susan died in 1869, in Washington, D.C.
